Our power plants

Suldal power plant

Hydro is Norway's second largest producer of hydroelectric power. Our production of hydropower is concentrated in four main regions in Norway: Telemark, Røldal-Suldal, Sogn and Vennesla.

Our power plants together produce approximately 10 terawatt hours (TWh) of electricity per year. By comparison, this is roughly the same as the entire city of Oslo uses in the same period.

It is also enough energy to produce 800 000 tonnes of aluminium.
