Hydro has contributed NOK 1 million to this year’s televised national fund-raising campaign in Norway, named “Together for children”. The revenues will go to UNICEF and its aid to children affected by HIV and AIDS in different parts of the world.
Children are the innocent victims of HIV and AIDS – and at the same time those who are affected the hardest by the epidemic. But “it costs little to make a big difference”, UNICEF says. With the raised funds the organization will work to prevent mother-to-child infection, medicate children, prevent infection among children and youth and provide care for orphans and vulnerable children.
By supporting this year’s fund-raising campaign, Hydro wishes to contribute to making a big and lasting difference in the lives of children affected by HIV and AIDS.
