Powder coating for aesthetics and corrosion protection
During the powder coating process, a free-flowing dry powder is electrostatically applied to add color or finishing effects to the aluminium. The coating is then cured via heat treatment or UV lights. The benefits of powder coating lie in the combination matrix of color, function, gloss and corrosion properties.

Powder coating can provide a decorative finish that is harder and more durable than conventional paint. This makes it ideal for applications that require a longer lasting finish such as bicycle frames, automotive trims and household appliances.
There are virtually no limits to the choice of color. In addition to RAL and NCS S color systems, we supply customer-specific colors. There are also special antibacterial powder coatings for sterile environments.
Why use powder coating?
- For a precise color match
- For an extra layer of protection from corrosion, scratching and chipping
- For a thicker coating than other options
- For a long-lasting and durable finish
- For high chemical and mechanical resistance
- For a range of thickness, from thin (20µm) to max. 200 µm
- To cover surface deviations of the base material
In certain, the thickness of the coating needs to be taken into consideration when determining profile dimensions and tolerances.
