Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World is the most prestigious index in the DJSI family. Hydro is also part of DJSI Europe. This is the 22nd consecutive year that Hydro is included in the DJSI series.
"I am very pleased to see that Hydro’s effort to act on our values and targets throughout the organization is valued by DJSI," says Kirsten Margrethe Hovi, Head of Extra-Financial Reporting in Hydro.
Hydro’s total score on this year’s ranking is 69%, up from 63% in 2019 and 67% in 2018.
“The DJSI ranking is an important benchmark tool for us, where we are assessed and measured against other companies. We get confirmation if we are on the right track and it makes areas where we can improve visible to us,” Hovi says.
Hydro is the only aluminium company in the DJSI World for 2020; the banking and insurance company Storebrand is the only other Norwegian company on the list.
